She Decluttered a Drawer

simplify

Have you ever felt the urge to simplify your life but found yourself struggling to take the first step? If so, you're not alone. Some time back, a sister reached out to me with a heartfelt desire to declutter her life, recounting how she'd managed to tackle a single drawer.

She told me that every so often, she'd open up that drawer and just look at it.

She said it probably sounded silly.

It didn’t.

Not at all.

I smile every time I think of her opening that drawer.

I understand.

Because decluttering isn't merely about tidiness; it's about transformation.

And that drawer is far more than a tidy space in the midst of clutter and chaos.

It’s possibility - the possibility of something different.

It's potential. It's hope.

Because if you can declutter one drawer, you can do two.

And from there, perhaps a cupboard, then a room.

Bit by tiny bit, you can transform your life, one tiny drawer at a time.

And it all starts with a decision.

That today is the day you begin!

 Start today!

  1. Set your intention. Get clear on why you want to declutter.
  2. Make du'a. Ask Allah for His help!
  3. Pick something small and easy, like a drawer, and just start! Don't overthink it, just start.
  4. Celebrate your success! Thank Allah.
  5. Look at that decluttered space and see the potential.

 Repeat. Repeat, Repeat.
